An early show for you guys this week as melt and I have a hella lot to do for the next RotCast. We taped last night and our topics include:
I finished Dead Rising. Not only that, but I found I wasn't really interested in earning any more achievements from it. So much for being an achievement whore.
We went hard and deep, penetrating your cinematic cervix with our review of 1408. If you feel any discomfort listening to us talk about the movie, it's because I wasn't just using hyperbole. Snooch.
We finally got around to talking about a game based on The Office, and melt actually had me convinced it could work.
I started playing Saint's Row, or The Little Game That Wants To Be GTA So Bad It Can Taste It. You remember when Kurt Cobain wrote "In Bloom" as a kind of fuck you to kids who "loved" his music but didn't understand it? The guys who made Saint's Row are those kids grown up.
All this plus a big old-fashioned rant on groups that want to exploit questionable research for profit (a la NIMF and their crusade against Take-Two Interactive). I apologize profusely for the popping sounds in this episode. I don't know how those gremlins got inside our mixer, but get inside they did. Also, no promo during the break because, well, we have nothing to promote this week.
When Bush is king, this podcast may be first against the wall. Better listen while you can!
